Hello! You may not know that you have hemorrhoids as long as colonoscopy wont be done. Hemorrhoids in early stages are not visible and not palpable during rectal examination. And this is the most common reason of bright red blood on the surface of the stool. Its hard to tell about abdominal pain not knowing its location. Please visit your doctor and consider rectoscopy or colonoscopy. Regards.
