Had Arthroscopy Knee Surgery For Torn Meniscus, Still Unable To Squat, Painful. How Long To Heal ?

Hi. I had arthroscopy knee surgery for a torn meniscus in April this year. I'm still going to physics therapy for strength and rom. I am still unable to squat ( as in drop down on my knees) and its going to be 4 months soon..still a little painful with certain moves. How long before total healing and is that something I can look fwd to?

hi,
menisci tears need more time to heal, sometimes year to resolve even after surgery. also look for any fever episodes, warmth in the joint, in that case infection would have happened. if its not there, no need to bother, continue the physiotherapy, but dont over do the exercise also, which may hamper the healing.

wish you good health
