Knee Pain And Stiffness. Arthritis?

i am having some burning, raw pain located on the lateral collateral sides of the knees. (the part of the knee area/ leg area that can touch) My knees are stiff at times. This pain continues down a few inches below the knee on the inside part. By inside, i do not mean inside where the bone is, just to the inside or knee or leg. Have i possible torn something, or could it be arthritis?

Thanks for query on HCM.
What is your age...? What is your working pattern...?
Pain, stiffness and limited movements indicates development of arthritis.
First go for complete arthritic profile and digital x-ray of both knee to confirm the diagnosis.
Otherwise start nsaid to subside pain, apply nsaid gel locally.
Allendronate, ibandronate with calcium carbonate, calcitriol is advisable.
Exercise, yoga will be helpful to prevent the stiffness and increase the strength of muscle and bone.
Consult orthopedician for proper diagnosis and management.
