27 week pregnancy with mild fullness of the pelvi-calyceal system bilaterally, what does this mean? Any side effects on baby?
Hi, This finding is quite common & just need ultrasound follow up of the baby during pregnancy & a paediatriation review at delivery. If it remains mild, no side effects on baby. If it increases in severity then you may have to consult nephrologist for expert opinion. Take care.

My ultrasound result says that " minimal free fluid with otherwise unremarkable sonographic evaluation of the pelvis? What does it mean?
Hi, Thanks for writing in. The pouch of Douglas is an anatomical area behind the uterus which usually does not contain any fluid in normal circumstances. In many women little fluid can be seen during the time of ovulation (14 days before onset of periods) and this can be considered normal.

I'm currently 6 weeks and 4 days pregnant and there was moderate free fluid in my pelvis cul de sac i want to know if that could cause a problem with my baby
The free fluid is most likely a result of the rupture and resolution of a corpus luteal cyst. This is very common in early pregnancy and can even be considered normal. Unless it is causing pain, don't worry about it. It will resolve in its own in a few days and the pregnancy should be fine. I hope this was helpful, if you have any more questions, please let me know.
