What Is The Remedy For The Insect Bite Causing Swelling, Itching And Pain?

I was bitten or stung by something 4 days ago ( insect or spider ) and am still experiencing swelling, itchiness, and pain on the affected area. When I was stung or bitten it was painful and burned so I put my arm in a creek. What should I do if anything?

Hello,
Welcome to HCM,
I had gone through your history and understand your concern,
As you had insect bite four days ago and you are having all the signs of inflammation.
I would advise you that, you have to confirm that really you had insect bite or any other infections.
For these kind of cases I would have advised
1.Apply an ice-pack to a bite site- Which will reduce the inflammation and swelling.
2.Topical antihistaminics and Steroid
3.Oral antihistaminics.
4. Oral Antibiotics
You can take these medicine after consulting your doctor and getting the prescription from him.
