Inguinal Hernia

I think I had an inguinal hernia that I thought went away by itself until I noticed my left labia minora dramatically grow in size. Is it possible to have a hernia end up in your labia minora causing a bulge. I am in my twenties and got an inguinal hernia a few years back when I was younger as a gymnast and never told anyone. My labia minora was always a normal size but as soon as my hernia dissappeared I noticed my left labia minora (same side as hernia) became significantly larger. Before I see a dr I needed to know if it is possible for a hernia to move to that area.
