Can A Late Period With Spotting Indicate Pregnancy?

I am 47 years old. I am taking clomid. This is my 3rd month, the dosage was 150mg. My last cycle was August 23, I spotted on September 11, my cycle was due September 19. I have always had a 28 day cycle. I haven't started. This is day 35. Neg. pg test this morning. Is this normal?

Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
How regular have your cycles been ?
If your cycles were regular and this was day 35 with a negative pregnancy test, you are not pregnant.
Please take a blood pregnancy test to confirm.
Also, at 47, if you have not conceived with 3 cycles of Clomid, consult a Fertility expert at the earliest.
GO for ART ( assisted reproductve technology ) if indicated.
Go for complete testing, including assessment of your ovarian reserve ( best measured by measuring AMH levels ).
Also, if your fallopian tube patency has not been checked, do not take more clomid without checking it.
Blind clomid consumption is not wise.
All the best.
Take care.
