There is a difference between medicine and marketing. Checking saliva tests and using 'compounded' creams to treat menopausal symptoms is all marketing. All the symptoms you describe, though awful feeling, are consistent with normal menopause. It lasts 3-10 years in 85% of the population. 15% of women have symptoms lifelong, though initial intensity and amount of medication needed decreases.
I suggest a good gynecologist, interested in menopause, not making as much money as possible needlessly complicating your treatment. Biologically identical hormones to what your ovaries made before menopause are available in any pharmacy.
You need estradiol to treat your symptoms, that is the 'test'. If you aren't 50% improved in 2 weeks or completely improved in 12 weeks, it's not enough. Only if you have a uterus, you need a small amount of progesterone orally (creams aren't well absorbed).
