gud morning sir my question is antibiotic in enteric fever with mild raised bilirubin is levofloxacin a good choice
Thanks for writing to us.
High cure rates have noted with administration of levofloxacin -500mg tab. orally or 100ml inj. in cases of enteric fever.
Oral availability of this drug is 100%.
This second generation fluroquinolone drug is effective against strep.pneumoniae, gram positive, negative bacteria.
Single daily dose is sufficient because of slower elimination.
Plz continue wt.quer
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
If high grade fever cold sponging will help. I usually advise tylenol to my patient .
If fever persists after 4-5 days then advised complete blood check up. Good luck. Dr. HET
Hi, Cool cloths on forehead and paracetamol. Dress yourself in the same amount of clothing you feel comfortable in. Don't take a cool bath. 39.1 is a high fever. If it persists after paracetamol or it lasts for longer than 24 hours, You needs to be seen by a doctor.Be sure to take water/fluids frequently. I hope you feels better soon :)
