Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m a 25 year old, 220 pound, athletic male and randomly started getting blood in my stool. It s happened a couple times this year but goes away. Usually it occurs when I eat and drink a lot of protein and eat a lot of vegetables. I generally lift heavy and run 4 times a week. Should I be concerned?
HI Thank for asking to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if there is blood stain stool then this could be due to the constipation this is the only near cause of blood stain stool if the bleeding is continues in the form of drops then this could be hemorrhoids, if there is abdominal pain prior to defecation and then its blood stain stool then this could be intestinal infection, hope this information helps you, take care and have nice day.
