What do you suggest for cough with hoarseness in my voice?
Hi since Sunday I have had a chesty cough but not annoying me. Last night the cough got worse and I woke to a complete hoarseness in my voice but have no other symptoms no blocked sinus or headaches or chills. I had a sore throat two years ago and developed angio oedema
coughing for 3 days, throat is irritated, headachy, fatigued, raspy voice & mornings i cough up grrenish phlegm, when i blow my nose its clear. I don't smoke.
most of your symptoms suggest you do have an infection
headache & greenish phlegm suggest Sinusitis
throat irritation and the raspy voice also indicate possible throat/voice box infection
you probably should meet a local ENT but till then, start with the following
- Steam inhalation
- saline gargles
I feel antibiotic e.g. levofloxacin / azithromycin should be considered
Cvs cough with production of thick flum and throat pain and unclear voice
1. symptoms suggests Laryngitis:
. voice rest, saline or potash alum water gargles, steam inhalation.
. avoid spicy-oily-sour-slimy food, tobacco in any form
. liquid-soft diet
. medicine as per choice of attending doctor
