Shallow breathing usually occurs when one is awake, if on lying down and awake the shallow breathing then can cause breathlessness. Do go for a brisk walk for a while and then go for sleep. This would solve your problem.

Hi, It seems you are having Myoclonus which is a brief, rapid (<100 ms) shock-like, jerky movement consisting of single or repetitive muscle discharges. They can be innocent and are commonly observed in normal people when waking up or falling asleep (hypnogogic jerks).
