Pain In Right Hand, Cramps, Numb. Treatment?

What can I do to alleviate the pain in my right hand? It cramps up badly from writing and typing. I am 44 years old, and have just started experiencing such pain that makes my right hand feel numb after I take notes for a period of time. Should I use heat? or cold? or anti-inflammatory? or fish oil? any tips you could give me would be much appreciated.

Your symptoms seem to be due compression of the nerve supplying the hands(most common) or due to due to vitamin deficiency(B12, folic acid) or due to high sugar levels.I suggest you to take a physician/orthopedic opinion before trying out with the above said medications which give you temporary relief.Hope this helps.Take care.
