Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have calcium deposits at my costal cartlidge of my ribs. Is that normal for an otherwise healthy 40 yr old female? I had been diagnosed with chostochondritis and they saw the calcium on x ray. The radiologist made no note of it and my MD was unsure.

welcome to health care magic
first of all u mention ur problem whether pain is thr or any swelling in costochondral junction. if u hv sum tenderness over thr, then might be its costochondritis. its not a big problem , totally curable, go n consult an orthopedician.
costochondritis is also cured by ultrasound therapy that is a part of electrotherapeutic modalities in physiothgerapy.
