What Causes Mucus In Stools?

I have a daughter who is 7 months and two weeks old. She has been passing loose motion for almost 1 and a half weeks now and sometimes its green in colour (when the frequency of passing motion increases). This is also accompanied by reddishness in the motion area. I got a stool test done and that reveals that there is mucus in the stools and shows puss cells as 15-20 hpf and RBC 0-2. Please advice me what could be the cause of it and also severity on it.
