Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a daughter who is 7 months and two weeks old. She has been passing loose motion for almost 1 and a half weeks now and sometimes its green in colour (when the frequency of passing motion increases). This is also accompanied by reddishness in the motion area. I got a stool test done and that reveals that there is mucus in the stools and shows puss cells as 15-20 hpf and RBC 0-2. Please advice me what could be the cause of it and also severity on it.
Pus cells in stools indicates infection..just get culture sensitivity for stool...we need to start antibiotics...for redness u can use rashfree oinment after each motion and keep area dry n open to air...
