Atrial flutter occurs when the upper chamber of the heart beats very fast. Sometimes up to 300 beats per minute. The lower chamber of the heart will beat slower and be regular. Atrial flutter should be investigated by your doctor as it usually needs medication to treat. If untreated it can be dangerous as the heart is not beating efficiently.

Hi.Tenderness in the upper right quadrant could be secondary to liver diseases like Fatty liver,viral hepatitis,gall bladder stones/cholecystitis,colitis and large bowel disease Pancreatitis and musculoskeletal pain.It would be prudent to consult your PCP for a physical examination and investigations.The tests would include imaging studies like a ultrasound scan,haemogram,urine test and others.
