Breastfeeding, Constantly Hungry, Bloated. What To Do ?

I am a 32 yr old female who is breastfeeding her 9 month old twins. I am constantly hungry. I fee like I can t get enough to eat. I also have feelings of being bloated after I eat. I then have gas a couple hours after I eat. This has gone on for the last 2 months. I hate how I feel after I eat, but I know I have to eat in order to continue to feed my babies.

Hi,
Your nutritional demands tend to be higher than a normal mother as you are nursing two babies. Give yourself some time to rest and eat. You seem to be suffering from gaseous distension probably due to improper habits of eating like irregular timings, hasty eating and eating foods difficult to digest. You can have small frequent meals, take some medication to lessen gas formation after consulting your doctor and get treated if you have any intestinal infection. Also, you can start weaning the babies now. Take care.
