Hello and welcome to HCM,
Pain can be associated with the stomach infection or can be due to some other cause.
The pain that you are experiencing in the chest region could be pain due to stomach infection referred to the chest region.
You can observe the pain for some time and take pain killer for some relief.
If the pain still remains, you will have consult your physician to examine the chest.
I've been having a pain under my left rib for about 6 months now. The drs have no idea what it is after a clear chest xray and rib ultrasound. Floating rib?
If the pain is deep in the abdomen , then I suspect it could be due to problems in the stomach or spleen. The problems in the spleen can be identified with ultrasound but you may need an endoscopy to assess the stomach health.
