I have some bulge feeling few places in my body like tigh, wrist, lower back etc. its not visible, but same could be felt when running my fingers. what is it?
HI , I am Dr.kadhir,
Most often the bulges or lumps felt under the skin are lipomas, they are usually painless and don,t need to be treated.
But before confirming it is always better to have a look at it.
If it is a lipoma, then they can be left alone .They can be removed if they cause pain or rapidly growing ( rarely can happen) or for cosmetic reasons. Non surgical treatment are also done .
Smashed my wrist between full milk crates & a two wheeled cart. Now i have a lump on my wrist where it was smashed & it hurts to touch. Aches up to my elbow too
Hi Phishesh ! It seems that you have developed a hematoma ( collection of blood ) with inflammation causing this pain in your wrist. This should subside gradually with some anti inflammatory drug and immediate cold compress. However, if the pain increases with the hematoma, then there could be a fracture, and you have to show it to a Orthopaedic surgeon. Also keep your hand elevated witth a sling.
