Natural Diet Plan for weight reduction:

1) In the morning try to wake up as soon as possible, drink 1-2 litres of water, with empty stomach. Water not only helps to cleanse our body, it burns fat.

After drinking water, finish toilet and start doing exercise.
It can be Aerobics, Yoga(Surya Namskar 5-15 rounds) and Pranayama or go to gym.

2) After exercise, drink vegetable juice like bottle guard, cucumber, tomato, carrots, beet root , ridge guard, or mixed .In this way we can provide to our body all the vitamins and minerals. So you will feel energetic.
While preparing juice mix with honey or dates, instead of sugar.

3) In breakfast, you can have Fruits or sprouts.

4) In between breakfast and lunch or one hour before lunch drink water again slowly up to one liter.

5) For lunch have whole meal bread or pulkas (anything made by wheat flour is fine) Eat more green leafy vegetables and fruits and vegetable salads.(try to reduce Bread or pulkas and increase the vegetable and salads )

6) Once after lunch take 2 hours break. After 2 hours have fruits or any vegetable salads or Lemon Honey water(with lukewarm water), (if you feel hungry. Again take one hour gap and drink water again.)

7) Have dinner early, at least 2 hours before to go to bed is preferable. And walk at least 50- 100 step
Before going to bed, you have to make sure that all the calories of food has been consumed,

Note: Avoid Oily foods, sugar, rice, potatoes, Bakery products, cold drinks, Soda and ice creams.
Fasting once a week with water or Juice. For Relaxing and energizing the digestive system.

Hello,

Thanks for posting your query.

For equilibrium of the body legumes, milk, fruit juices, nuts and honey is the recommended.
Very hot or very cold or very strong taste like too salty or too spicy hampers the equilibrium of the body so as part of yoga diet it should be avoided.

Intake of stimulants like tea, coffee, salt or chocolates should be reduced or should be totally avoided if possible.

Food substances like meat, vinegar, tobacco or over ripe fruits are not good for mind or the body. Hence they should be avoided as yoga diet recommendations.

On yoga front, various forms of yoga are recommended for weight reduction. Generally, the extra pounds of the body are deposited near the belly and the thigh region. Most of the yoga postures like wheel pose and semi wheel pose work greatly for the reduction of the weight. It also imparts flexibility to the body.

Among the various kinds of yoga, it is Hatha yoga which helps the overall well being of the individual. It improves the physique as well as provides energy to manage daily activities with ease. The dead corpse pose along with the breath exercises will help you feel fresh and help burn the cholesterol to generate energy in the body. The energy can be used for various activities.

Breath control is another aspect of yoga which helps to control the mind as well as the body. It helps to manage the stressful situations with ease.

Pavanmuktasana (Free wind pose) as well as Bhujangasana (the cobra pose) helps greatly for weight reduction.

Hope I have answered your query.

Wishing you good health.

Regards.

Hello there,
Your weight gain is after delivery. In most of the cases,I noticed that the contraction of uterus is not to a certain level. So that, the apana vayu (according ayurveda) bulges out the lower abdomen and tummy. It seems you are facing the same problem.
But don't get panic! The medicine is there in ayurveda. As you are a lactating mother, don't get upset, this will cause shkir-dosha so that the baby will face some health problem in future.
Firstly, bhujangasana, shalbhasana, gomukhasan, vajrasana, tadasana, ardhya machindra asna, padmasana and sahajasana are helpful for you. These all asanas regulate prana tatwa within uterus and also in apana i.e. large intestine region. But do under only in medical supervision.
Now the diet=it should be lighter but no harmful to your child;like mung dal, rice(roasted),wheat roti, green vegetables like palak/methika/muli.These vegitables also have the same effect as that of asanas. Also you should refer any ayurvedic vaidya to know about the din-charya+ratri-charya+rutu-charya.
Also an ayurvedic medicines like prataplankeshwar rasa, nityanada rasa, punarnava mandur etc are also essential.

Dear Maryam
You have taken a big challenge but the confidence with which you are writing here gives me a feeling that you can achieve your target if not total it will be almost total. Many a times bodily structural changes come after delivery. These changes are reversible. Regular brisk exercise and check on high fat high protein and high carbohydrate is a must. Have only meals and nothing but meals. No extra sugar or soda or fruits or sweets etc. Amongst medicines have medhohar guggul 2tablets with dashmoola arisht and gokshur guggul 1 tabbd.
