Alcohol lowers the immunity and continuous use causes liver cell damage ,that's why elevated liver enzyme in blood . Stopping of alcohol will decrease raised enzyme but it depends upon the level of enzymes.

I would advice my patient to have a low fat diet which helps the liver to heal faster.
