Will Amoxicillin Ease Sinus And Ear Infection?

I went to my doctor yesterday; I have a sinus infection. I'm taking amoxicillin. I think I blew my nose too hard, because my ears are hurting. It feels like some kind of pressure. Did I just give myself an ear infection? And if I did - I'm already taking antibiotics for my sinus infection, so will my ear infection go away as I keep taking the amoxicillin?

Hi and thanks for this query.

amoxicillin is the drug of choice for sinus and ear infections. should you have an ear infection also, there is no need to get worried. However, I do not think you for real have an ear infection simply by blowing your nose too hard. it should be a transient pain and all would soon return to normal.

I hope this helps. I wish you well.
