What Causes Painful Swollen Eye And Ear Pain?

I have a dull ache over my left eye which has become swollen since I saw my GP yesterday. He had an ESR and CPR test done which show no abnormalites. I am concerned as it started yesterday morning with dull pain of rom my left ear. I know it is not the onset of shingles which I have had twice once on the right side of my head.

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having painful swollen eye and ear pain.
This can be because of inflammation affecting either ear or eye. The inflammatory condition of one structure can lead to pain in the other as both are near by and the pain can be referred to the other structure.
The treatment of the condition is by use of anti-inflammatory drugs.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
