Long term effects of Singulair and Symbicort? 16yrs old, cat allergies. Doc. prescribed daily. Scared to take them. Will i be able to stop taking them?
Singulair - nausea, vomiting, headache, etc. Apart from them, long term use is usually safe. Symbicort - oral thrush, throat irritation, change in voice due to budesonide, tremors, increased heart rate, etc due to formoterol in symbicort. Other side effects of corticosteroids (budesonide in symbicort) only if you use high dose for long duration. Inhaler form of corticosteroids is safest. Thank you
