Diagnosed With Pneumonia And Presence Of Dry Cough And Fever
I have pneumonia revealed in the X-ray . Currently, I have a dry cough occasionally and low fever ranging from 36.3 C to 37.3 C. Is it considered that I have the pneumonia without a cough or fever? What kind of pneumonia is that. I would be pleased if could provide me the information.

Some types of interstitial pneumonia ( a condition in which the spaces between the alveoli are affected) would typically cause such a picture. These are caused by organisms like Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Chlamydia, viruses, rickettsiae and some other organisms. These are usually treated with antibiotics like tetracyclines which are effective against these organisms.
This is a problem that you need not worry about. You should be good in 2-3 days provided the right treatment is started.
