hi doctor. my baby is 55days old.he got vaccination of dpt hepatitis on 45thday .now he has pus on inj site. is it normal. What I have to do.
Hello. Thank you for your question. Reactions at vaccine injection sites can happen and typically include redness, swelling, sometimes mild pain, and sometimes low grade fever. Pus at the injection site is unusual. Though not an emergency, I recommend consulting with your doctor about this. In the meantime keep the area clean with plain water and apply warm compresses until your doctor responds.
