a dog scratched me. I want to ask if dog searched HIV person n then immediately scratched me then is it HIV risk
Hello and welcome to HCM,
It is theoretically possible for the transmission of HIV infection by scratch by an animal after it has scratched HIV positive patient.
However, the chances are quite remote.
There are more chances of tetanus and/ or rabies by an animal scratch.
You need to get a tetanus toxoid and anti-rabies therapy.
You can get test for HIV to rule out the possibility.
