i am a 49 yr old female. i have hypertension. i take medication for it. my Diastolic has remained high for a few hours now. should i be alarmed?
Dear Ma'am, Thanks for your query. Diastolic BP must have been there for some time, but detected incidentally now, by you. Do NOT be alarmed, as increase in dose or addition of a medicine will control it. Consult your doctor who will modify your prescription. Revert back to me for follow-up, 3-4 days after taking increased dosage. Fond regards, Have a nice day. Dr. Karanwal
