hi prof. kadavul, nice to know you are worried and aware about the forthcoming complications. type 2 diabetes, as you have been diagnosed with, is known to have two major sets of complications. 1. microangiopathic i.e small blood vessel disease and 2. macroangiopathic i.e large blood vessel disease.
when we talk of microangiopathy, we mean affected eyes, i.e retinopathy, kidneys (nephropathy) and nerves (neuropathy)
macroangiopathies affect heart, arteries, feet, peripheral vessels and may even cause stroke (paralysis)
