What Is The Meaning Of Mucosal Thickening Of Paranasal Sinus And Deviated Septum?

1.My daughter's ct scan reveals "serial coronal sections of paranasal sinuses were studied without I.V contrast.
2.mucosal thickening of all the paranasal sinuses are seen.
3.Nasal septum is deviated to right.
4.The middle turbinates are pneumatised.
5.Mucosal thickening of nasal turbinates are seen.
6.Antral ostia are blocked.

Welcome to HCM
Your CT scan revealed that you are having chronic sinusitis.Which is evident by the mucosal thickening of the paranasal sinuses.
Deviated nasal septum with turbinates are showing that there is deviated nasal septum.
Blocked Antral ostia also indicates that there is chronic sinusitis, leading to thickness of mucosa.
For DNS you may require surgery, it should be confirmed and managed by your surgeon.
