my ct scan showed focally prominent dilatation right temporal horn 2.0 cm by 1.3 cm in axial dimension and 1.0 cm in height. Left temporal horn normal in size . what does that usually mean? I had an mri done with and without contrast ( as recommended) but my neurologist appointment is in three weeks...
From your report I suspect that you might have a small arachnoid cyst at the location of temporal horn of right lateral ventricle. This is a fluid filled space and not a serious condition. Your symptoms must be evaluated in detail with history of any seizures. An EEG may also be done. Even considering that there is no cyst, a prominent right temporal horn may not have any symptoms or may have mild seizures.
