What Is The Cause Of High White Blood Cells?

My baby was born 12 days ago, and the doctors have now discovered that her white blood cells are higher than her red. They have put her on antibiotic without knowing how much is her platelets count. Can you give me any information relative to her condition?

Hi,
It seems that baby might be having some infection in her body some where. This can give high WBC.
As per advice of your doctor continue antibiotic medicine and remain in follow up with your Neonatologist.
Ok and take care.
