what may be the reason?
pls tell me the medicine. age 67 male
Thank you for posting your query.
Anemia can be due to low intake of iron, vitamin B12 or proteins, or loss of blood (in stool, urine, etc) or destruction of RBCs (due to hemolysis). Appropriate investigations would help confirm the cause of anemia.
As of now, you can start iron, vitamin B12 and folate supplements.

Dear Doctor, My 8 year old son is having dark circles under his eyes but from last its getting much darker, what could be the reason? Kindly suggest
LowHemoglobin levels and undernourishment are common causes which can lea to such dark pigmentation under the eyes. Get his hemoglobin levels assessed.
my hemoglobin is 11,1 am i anemic or not
iam 26 years old
Hi Frankoplanet ! Yes you are anemic, and you should get yourself investigated for knowing the cause of this. In the meantime, you can take some iron preparations regularly, and repeat your test again after one to two months to see if there is improvement or not. Any hidden source of chronic blood loss has to be excluded as well. If no improvement with iron prep, visit your physician. Good luck.
