General & Family Physician Dr. Tina Jacob Das's  Response
Hello there,
Welcome to HealthcareMagic. We can say, one might have both ailments (anemia and amenorrhoea)together, but one may not be cause for the other.Since you have not mentioned your age, and whether you had your menses started, ie..if its a primary amenorrhoea or a secondary, based on which cause would vary.Of course, most common cause of the both problems is pregnancy. So you need to rule out that too. Then need to get battery of tests like thyroid profile, FSH,LH,Prolactin levels etc. THere are certain drugs like few antiepileptic drugs which again might cause both. Also a thorough ultrasound of lower abdomen to rule out infectoius pathology of ovary, uterus.Since its so vast, you need to confirm with a gynaec or elaborate your history please. Take care.
