Muscle Cramps In Leg. Diabetic. Recommendations?

Sure. often when I play, I experience muscle cramps in my leg, it can be on the sides or calf, or the upper leg. I cannot predict when this occurs but usually when I am on a crucial match (badminton) my legs get this and I have to stop. also I have border line diabetes for which I have started taking the mediince (only early stages) . I am aged 40 now.

Hi
Get examined for the peripheral blood supply once using doppler to know if the blood supply and drainage is normal since you are diabetic.
You have to do regular every day outdoor exercise and have to consume more of protein food and electrolytes rich fluid like electrol powder with food rich in potassium (banana)before sports. These will help you to prevent the leg sore during sports. Along with these take multivitamin supplements and proper foot care. If any neuropathy you may require Tab Pregabalin. So consult your doctor for examination and management as explained.

Hope this helps you.

Regards
