Hello. Thank you for your question. This is a very common occurrence in this age group. As long as there was no loss of consciousness at the time of the injury, you do not have to worry about any internal injury. Within the first 2-3 hours, ice can be applied to minimize the swelling but there will always be at least some. After that time frame, we have to allow the swelling to heal on its own.

IT IS HEMATOMA BLOOD CLOTS IN SUBCUTANEUS TISSUE
IT TAKES TIME TO DISSOLVE THAT IS 3 WK
TAKE ANTIBOTIC COURSE TO PREVENT INFECTION
TAKE NALGESIC SOS OR PAIN
TAKE ANTI INFLAMATORY TAB LOCAL APPLICAION OF ANTIINFLAMAORY OINTMENT O DISSOLVE THE SWELLING
AS THE CLOT DISSPLVES HIS DISCOMFORTWILL BE RELIEVED AFTER 3 WEEK
