Drop In Blood Sugar Every Morning, Weight Loss. Is There Any Cure For This Hypoglycemia ?

Hello every morning my blood sugar drop to the high 60, what to do to rule out this hypoglycemia problem, can hypoglycemia be cured? My blood sugar tends to go down every morning. 3 months ago I was diagnosed as pre diabetic, my weight was 222 lbs. I was so scared I stopped right away eating white rice and drinking juice. All I was doing is eating salad, brown rice and I used to even spend a whole day without eating. I lost 19 pounds in a month. My A1c hemoglobin was 5.8 in the pre diabetic stage but dropped 5.5 after my weight lost. Unfortunately it leaves me with hypoglycemia now, plz help me I want to know what to do

Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
You are over weight and Pre diabetic, what you are taking is seems to be inappropriate diet and which is very low calories and not enough protein and fats.
You need to consult Endocrinologist/Physician and a good Dietitian and follow his/her advise.
Such crash diet is not good for health, please take care.
You should take 25 Kcal/kg body weight/24 hours and daily exercise regularly.
You have lost weight is good but it is more important to maintain it please keep target of 1kg/month and reduce calories by say only 300/day and increase exercise to burn 300 cal more.
Please after consulting Dietitian blend of protein carbohydrates(Complex) and little fats with good vitamin and minerals in diet.
If you are taking any drugs it may be due to effect of that drug also so inform your doctor.
Please also investigate for any illness by blood test as well as Ultra sonography of abdomen and
any other advised by Physician.
Take care
Good Luck

Hello,
If you are not taking any anti diabetic medicine, then this hypoglycemia seems to be due to your starvation style dieting.

As it is unlikely that you put on your extra weight in only a few days, it is unrealistic to believe you can lose it that quickly. A slow rate of weight loss amounting to just one or two pounds per week is the most maintainable progression.
When you lose weight slowly, you can sustain the changes for the long term and not suffer from extreme feelings of deprivation. In addition, your body can adjust to small reductions in calorie intake without feeling like it is facing a life-threatening famine.
You need a minimum of 1,200 calories per day as a woman or 1,500 as a man to support nutrition for bodily functions like breathing, cellular repair, hormone production and pumping blood etc.
Following a fast or starvation diet for several days can also cause nutritional deficiencies, dizziness, weakness, digestive distress, nausea, irritability, depression and fatigue. Undergoing a fast or starvation diet for too long can seriously compromise your health.

Instead of cutting food out altogether, seek to create calorie deficit of between 500 and 1,000 calories. Utilize physical activity along with dietary measures to create this negative calorie balance.

Don't go for crash dieting otherwise you may develop problems.
Thanks
