Are Injections Safe For The Bicep Tendinitis?

I was shovelong snow in January and hurt my shoulder. I hurts terribbly! I can'' sleep, it hurts to drive, it hurts ALL the time. Iv'e tried therapy, that didn't help. I ice it and it may help for 20 min or so. They perscribed me Mobic and it doesn't make a bit of difference. The are saying bicep tendinitis, and want to do an injection, but I'm not so sure I want to go that route. Please help! All I want to do is sleep, because when I finally do fall asleep I don't feel the pain, that is until the pain wakes me up. Thank you for your time!

Injection for biceps tendinitis is not very commonly used but it does not have any side effect also , so you can go ahead with this if pain is very severe and affecting your daily activities. I would also recommend you to apply local heat at biceps, take diclofenec sodium tablet and avoid lifting heavy weight. I hope this will help you.
