What Causes Urinary Incontinence?

My daughter is 9 years old and has complained in the past few days of wetting her underwear. I thought she was just peeing but I realize now that it s coming from the back. It s a clear liquid and it happens a few times a day.. What could this be?

Good Day and thank you for being with Healthcare Magic!

Your daughter might have a condition we call an ectopic ureter. This is a condition wherein the tube from the kidney doesn't drain inside the bladder but drains in an abnormal location. For females the most common site is the vagina where it causes urinary incontinence. I would suggest doing a kidney urinary bladder ultrasound for your daughter since it can detect any abnormalities that she might have.

I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications at: http://www.HealthcareMagic.com/doctors/dr-manuel-c-see-iv/66014 I would gladly help you. Best wishes.
