Bulky uterus with thick and coarse myometrium. endometrium thickness 14mm
Please be more specific about your query. If you wish to know if the findings are normal, I would say it depends on the state of the uterus and the phase of the menstrual cycle and the contraceptive and hormonal status. A thick endometrium obviously indicates excessive hormonal activity be it due to the hormonal imbalance or early pregnancy. Appropriate investigation and treatment are needed.
what is the meaning of corpus luteum on the right ovary.consider adenomyosis in normal size anteverted uterus and intact endometrium.
Thanks for your question.
Corpus luteum is a scar on the ovary which indicates ovulation has taken place in this cycle.
Adenomyosis is a disease in which inner most lining of the womb is abnormally present in the muscular part of the womb. In this condition womb is usually enlarged in size.
Intact endometrium means, inner most layer of the womb is without any defect.
My question is for an OBGYN. My ultra sound report states "1. Bulky uterus with subserous fibromyoma, 2. Mild polycystic changes in both ovaries".can i conceive
Of course, you can conceive. Polycystic ovarian disease responds very well to treatment and a subserous myoma usually does not hamper pregnancy and may be treated sufficiently prior to conception itself. Please contact a specialist in high risk pregnancies to get further evaluation and treatment. The PCOD can be treated with medications, weight management, exercise, stress control and diet.
