Fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid Arthritis. Call The Symptoms Hysteria?

Yesterday, I was once again told that my symptoms say that I have fibromyalgia,; the diagnostician, did not listen to me or the student RA specialist who performed the intake exam. I do not have more than 5 or 6 of the many diagnostic criteria that specifically causes a doctor to lump them into the collective FMS basket. Do you have any ideas what type of doctor I should try to see? This chap was an internist - to say he was arrogant and dismissive is a gross understatement. He really did treat me as physicians often treated women in the 19th century when they dismissed their health problems as "hysteria".

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
If you are having recurrent and persistent joint pains then the diagnosis of fibromyalgia needs to be considered if all your blood reports are normal. You should consult a rheumatologist.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
