Why Would My Heart Start Beating Really Fast When I Am Laying In Bed Relaxing?

I had a ECG a couple of weeks ago that showed my heart was fine, beating a little fast , but i have a big fear
of hospitals anyway, i have had palpatations for ages too, why would my heart start beating really fast when i am laying in bed relaxing, it was only for about 30 seconds then went ! i'm worrying a little now which i no is not going to help any.

It's probably just anxiety. If your health care professionals have ruled out a true heart condition, anxiety can cause rapid heart beat, palpitations, and even shortness of breath. Maybe you should see your primary care physician and discuss treatment for an anxiety disorder. Good Luck!
