swine flu and mono- my fever has been 103 for 24 hours

hello i had a temperature of 103 for 12 hours despite taking fever reducing over the counter meds. i went to the er and they told me i have mono. however i dont know anyone else who is sick and heard that swine flu can cause mono which no one tested me for. they gave me tylenol 3 elixir with codiene and after having the medication for 8 hours my fever is still 102.5 what does this mean?

This might mean that it is infective fever with some new agent. Go back to ER for effective fever control. Get the swine flu test done too.
