Suggest Treatment For Pimples On The Cheeks

HI, about two weeks ago I went a pick up pallets. After I felt itching and burning all over my skin, It felt as if I had Insulation on my skin, then I noticed that I had a couple of red pimples just underneath my left butt cheek. In the weeks prior I have been experiencing back pain, stabbing pain, numbing and tingling. I then had the little pimples form on my chin, it scabbed up and I left it alone. Today the pimples are back underneath my left cheek and I see a bunch of little pimples on my back, shoulders and my forehead. Can this be shingles?

Hello,

I can understand your concern. As the pimples like lesions are burning and itching and not causing any pain, it seems to more like an allergic reaction than shingles.

I recommend that you start antihistamines such as Levocetrizine 5 mg (Levocet) or Loratidine 10 mg (Lorfast) once a day for 5-7 days. It should control the allergic reaction and the pimples should reduce or disappear.

The numbness and tingling you are experiencing can be due to deficiency of Vitamin B12 which can be relieved by starting supplements of Vitamin B12 such as Neurokind OD once a day for a month.

However, if the aituation does not improve or if it worsens, a physician should be consulted for physical examination and further investigations.

I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you feel better soon.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
