Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. Endogest contains a hormone called Progesterone. It is indicated in pregnancies due to assisted reproductive techniques like IVF, if there is progesterone deficiency, repeated miscarraiges (3 or more), if there is threatened abortion (bleeding during eatly pregnancy) or if there is history of preterm delivery before.

Does your wife have bleeding. She is how many weeks pregnant?
If she does not fit into the indications I have mentioned above then she should not take it as it is of no benefit.

At present there is no evidence that it harms the baby.

I hope I have answered to your satisfaction. If you have any further queries feel free to ask me.

Regards,
Dr. Ramadevi Wani
