Sore Mouth Treatment.

My four year oldson appears to have a rash on the roof of his mouth at the back. Acidic foods cause himto scream in pain. His toungue is white. also, he s dribbling alot. Help!

It indicates that there would have been some trauma to his hard palate. Does he have swollen and/or reddened tonsils. For the time being give him soft, bland food like mashed potatoes, yoghurt etc. Avoid chips, nuts, concentrated fruit juices. He can have milk at room temperature to drink. It needs time to heal. Do show him to a Paediatrician to rule out Tiosillar and Pharyngeal infection causing this pain.
