He needs to have a rectal exam asap.There is possibly a large bowel cause here like ulcers,growth etc.He will also need a colonoscopy if the rectum is normal.

hi, does he have any abdominal pain before or during defecation? If Yes it could be amoebiasis. otherwise he has to undergo a scopy to find out the cause or site of bleeding provided the rectum is normal

thanks for choosing health care magic.Blood clots in stool could be due piles or some ulcer.Avoid constipation ,avoid heavy diet and fired foods.Go for local examination by a surgeon for diagnosis and treatment.Take plenty of liquids and some laxative for soft stool.
