my blood pressure is 144/97,could that be considered as a high blood pressure.? Iam 43yrs old.i dont want to start taking medication.

Yes, it's high. Check it everyday and if it remains high, you may not have a choice. HBP is a silent killer. That's no longer considered borderling high. Borderling high is now 120/70 which used to be good numbers. If you ask your doctor, they will tell you that the average BP has been around 111/60.
