Hi, I m Dr. Richa Sharma. Any injury over head and eye needs to be checked by doctor because of associated complications and sequelae it may follow in a few cases. It becomes more important in case of a kid who will not be able to identify any newly developing complaint in an earlier phase or are hesitant to share. A blue swelling around the eye may be a result of superficial haemmorrage but sometimes may present with surprises related to vision or fracture of bones around eye. So, a check up by doctor is advised. Take care, hope she gets well soon
