Can Medrol Packs Be Taken Intermittently To Get Relief From Debilitating Pain?

TUMMY TUCK AND GLUTE LIFT 17 YEARS AGO. sTIIL HAVE THE PAIN (NEUROPATHY AND WANT TO TAKE MEDROL PACKS. iT really HELPS BUT MY DR IS RELUCTANT. I m so sick of this debilitating pain anything that works sounds like a good deal for me. I understand side effects and am willing to go to any length to fight against them with supplements, vitamins etc. Is it possible to take this drug intermittently, maybe every six weeks or so?

Hello and thanks for your question.
The problem is that you can not counteract the side effects of steroids with supplements. Recurrent steroid use can shut down your adrenal glands and cause osteoporosis. There are many and complicated side effects of recurrent steroid use. There are much better options for treating pain. Please discuss other options with your doctor or see a pain specialist.
